A Weekend In La Grange, TX for the Fayette County Fair and Parade

I was driving back from Victoria, TX in late August and saw the banner ad for the Fayette Co Fair across two light poles as I drove into downtown La Grange, TX. I spent many Easter weekends of my childhood here in this small Texas town, and have many fond memories of this place as a place of celebration, relaxation, and introspection. My stepfather’s family is from here, and still lives here, and I cherish any time I get to spend with them. Jessica and I came to experience a small county fair, and also took in some other sights in the city, including the Kreische Brewery/Monument Hill, Texas Quilt Museum, and the M-K-T Depot museum. We got to pet some really friendly cows, and ate some really, really good pizza and sandwiches at Reba’s. All in all, a great time spent here in this nostalgic Texas town of my childhood.

    Paul,
Thank you so much for capturing the magic of La Grange and the Fayette County Fair & Parade! Your photographic artistry is amazing, and I so appreciate the lovely photo of me at our Texas Quilt Museum. Please come see us again sometime! We would love to see you again and meet your fiancee! All the best, Deborah =)
